When I was in middle school, I was selected to participate a German Exchange Program where I went to live in a German student's home in Germany and then that student lived in my home in the US, each for a little over five weeks. I visited quite many places when I was in Germany. Exposure to different culture, history, traditions of another country is such a great learning experience in my life.

The elegant Reichstag Dome, constructed from steel and glass, sits atop the Reichstag.
A look inside the Reichstag Dome. You get a very nice, full view of Berlin.
Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, designed by architects Peter Wiseman and Bury Happold.
As I walked under the Brandenburg Gate, I couldn't help but snap a photo of Victoria, the goddess of victory, as she reins the horses. The sculpture commemorates king Frederick William II suppressed the Dutch popular unrest, and is a symbol that peace has come to the city.
The Berlin Wall, part of the Iron Curtain, is shown in this photo. You may notice the carvings on the wall, which were inscribed in rebellion against the repression and division the wall brought to Berlin.
This is the Lab Naval Memorial. At its top, you get an excellent view of the Baltic Sea coast.

One of hundreds of stained glass inside St.Lorenz.
At the place I stayed for about five weeks, there are Stolpersteine or stumbling stones. These stones commemorate the death of the soldiers and the Jewish during World War II.
Here is the local Catholic Church that my host family and I went to during my stay in Sarstedt, Germany.
Here is the town center of Sarstedt. The taste of the Sphagettini ice cream is still lingering on my tongue. I had one at the ice cream store just around the corner.
The town hall of Ulm, Germany.
This is the Ulmer Minster, the tallest church in the World.
This is a Paternoster elevator in Ulm, there aren't many functioning ones left in the World. When I rode it I got really claustrophobic because the transition between floors is completely dark. Also stepping onto a moving box without a door is mad scary.
Here are some examples of flower photos.
